This photo is actually feeding, something I often avoid. The pose lacks interest, though it has good focus and you can see an eye and orbital feathers (eyelashes) quite well. You can see the sheaths on the new feathers, and the emergant new feathers at the tips near the beak. This Broad-Tailed hummingbird is well into moulting, and you'll see him several times in future shots in this session.
