The thread count in this tartan is identical to Scott Green's that I have, if you allow for the greys and browns on this to be faded versions of blue and green. This may be a good example of how color is difficult. This tartan suggests that blues and greens fade much more over time than reds and blacks, and also imply a color shift, not merely a loss of saturation.
